Bethel University is a Christian educational community consisting of the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Adult & Professional Studies, Graduate School, School for Executive Leadership, and Bethel Seminary with campuses in St. Paul, San Diego, and various locations in the eastern United States. These form a single institution to meet the educational needs of the churches of the Baptist General Conference and of the wider evangelical Christian community. Bethel seeks to serve society on the local, national, and international levels through scholarship, social service, and Christian leadership.

Bethel University's annual security report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by Bethel University, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security such as policies on alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
